Výstava s „E.I.I.M.F.“, představuje výběr kombinovaných uměleckých technik a performativního umění zakotveného do místa, jež umocňuje podstatu děl a zasazuje je do temného a tichého izolovaného prostředí.
Výběr děl Matěje Janáka z let 2015 – 2024 navazuje na předchozí výstavy FALLEN v HYB4 Galerie a DEAD INSIDE WILL NEVER DIE v Karpuchina Gallery. Výstava rozvíjí jejich nosná témata, která vyúsťují v jednotnou myšlenkovou linku křehkosti bytí a bojovnosti ega.
Syntéza sebekritiky, paralela k vlastnímu životu a seberozvoji je ve tvorbě Matěje Janáka často vyobrazena s nadsázkou a symbolikou pomocí kultovních obrazových záznamů, v současném jazyce a internetovými fenomény.
Matěj Janák reaguje na své předchozí dialogy jedinečnou performance XXX (název performance), která jako site-specific projekt ve spolupráci s kurátorkou Sarah Adnanovou vyústí v ojedinělý happening, který se odehraje zahalen do tmy hlavního sálu, čimž alegoricky odkazuje na temnotu a samotu mysli, kde se odehrává bitevní pole každé lidské bytosti.
Všechny vystavené objekty zachycují téma bipolárního pohledu na život, který v prostředí klubu a s rétorikou Matěje Janáka vyznívá zprvu tvrdě a jednostranně, ale skrývá v sobě všudypřítomnost duality. Díla naráží na násilné interakce do života jedince, které devastují každodennost a donutí nás vyplavit se z komfortní zóny, čímž podněcuje touhy překonat se a objevit vnitřní pohon. Tyto procesy nás mohou zanechat s jizvami ve tváři, ale se silnějším pohledem a odhodláním. Prvky násilí a pošramocení poukazují s ironií na hrdinu dnešní doby, který svou pílí a sebekázní dokáže docílit úspěchu, přes všechna traumata.

The exhibition featuring “ E.I.I.M.F.“ presents a selection of combined artistic techniques and performative art. Chosen venue amplifies the essence of the works and situates them within a dark and silent isolated space.
Matěj Janák’s selection of works from the years 2015 till 2024 builds upon his previous exhibitions, „FALLEN“ at HYB4 Gallery and „DEAD INSIDE WILL NEVER DIE“ at Karpuchina Gallery. The exhibition reacts on their key themes, which culminate in the idea of the fragility of existence and the pugnacity of ego.
The synthesis of self-criticism, paralleling one’s own life and self-development, is often depicted in Matěj Janák’s work through exaggeration, symbolism, and the utilization of iconic imagery, relevant language, and internet phenomena.
Matěj Janák responds to his previous dialogues with a unique performance E.I.I.M.F., which as a site-specific project in collaboration with curator Sarah Adnanová, evolves into a singular happening, shrouded in the pure darkness of the main hall, allegorically referencing the darkness and solitude of our minds, where the greatest battlefield of every human being takes place.
All incorporated objects address the theme of a bipolar conception of life, which, in the club environment and with Matěj Janák’s rhetoric, initially sounds harsh and one-sided but honors the omnipresence of duality. The works confront us with violent interactions in the life of an individual. These interactions devastate the commonplace and compel us to emerge from our comfort zone, thereby stimulating desires to overcome ourselves and discover inner drive. These realities leave us with emblems incised into our faces but with stronger characters in our eyes and strong determination.
